Three days before the September 12 military coup. Alkan is a young mute boy living in the slums of Istanbul. He is mistreated by his mother, her young lover and is constantly humiliated by hoodlums in the neighborhood. He is looked upon as an eccentric person with an obsessive compulsive behavior in collecting objects from the people he meets. However, he is in love with a young girl in his neighborhood. In the end he rebels against his oppressors to protect his friend and to save the girl he loves at the expense of his life.
